How should Syrian President Bashar al-Assad be held accountable for the human rights violations and atrocities committed by his regime?

That would be nice.

But, for whatever reason the ICC has seemed largely disinterested in the alleged human right violations committed under the direction of Assad during the 13 year Syrian civil war. They also seem similarly disinterested in the similarly lengthy (and similarly filled with atrocities) Yemeni civil war.

It seems that the only conflict which interests them in the Middle East is Gaza and only Gaza. It’s not clear why.

Romania in the past was a poor country, but last year the government announced it had 521 billion leu (113$ billion dollars) revenue. Why is so much? What's the reason?
